Our Occupational Therapists offer comprehensive support in a variety of areas to help individuals to enhance their strength and functional ability to complete fundamental activities.
The areas concerned include early play hand skills, handwriting skills, oral feeding and using cutlery, as well as spasticity and tone management, and splinting and switching.
OTs support strength and functionality for everyday tasks.
We can support with:
Dressing - using zips, buttons and tying shoelaces
Self-care - bathing, toileting, hair brushing and teeth brushing
Meal planning and preparation, including following recipes
Basic household tasks
Community engagement such as ordering meals at cafes
Empower independence by helping with daily living skills.
OTs play an important role in identifying and supporting children’s sensory processing needs and finding ways to accommodate these in everyday life activities!
