Brigit McMahon

Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Brigit and I am a physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Queensland in 2024. I joined the Lifespan team in 2024 as an Allied Health Assistant, then stayed on as a physiotherapist once I graduated from my studies.

The Lifespan team has shown me the importance of working in a multidisciplinary setting and I have a passion to apply my knowledge to best help kids and their families reach their full potential.

I like to work with children of all ages and abilities. I love to meet a child where they are at and help them and their families reach their goals. Specifically, I enjoy working with children with developmental delays or neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as helping kids with sports skills. I love to see and celebrate the small wins with families with the small improvements seen in therapy each week. I find it extremely rewarding to help advocate for families and assist them to reach their achievements.

Prior to working at Lifespan, I was a high-level gymnast and went on to work with children as a gymnastics coach, which taught me how to interact and play with kids. Working as a gymnastics coach has also helped me with my ability to support kids reach new skills.

In my own time I love to hike, camp, paint and spend time in the mountains or at the beach.
